Even though I think it's nice that they try to call every admit student, I think it just makes the day a lot more anxious for everyone.

Lol.

I'm enjoying the serenity of today because I'm sure that tomorrow, after the first reported call, madness will ensure.

Good luck everyone. I've already made peace with whatever the results for tomorrow are.

Wish the wait would be over. It could always be waitlist. And I hear Wharton waitlists a lot of candidates. :-(

Good luck everybody!

What calls guys? Ankur confirmed that "All decisions will be distributed online; please keep an eye on your email for an ‘updated status’ notification." I kind of like this, cuts out the anxiety.

My interviewer basically confirmed the above - that calls would only be made on Dec 20, and that they would try to call as many as they can.

Well all decisions are posted online. But I believe they will call most of the applicants if not all coz its a Wharton tradition to personally welcome the incoming class.

Good Luck everyone. The wait is almost over :)[/quote]

Regarding the email, do we know based on previous years if everyone receives the same email to check our status? Or do those that are accepted receive a congratulatory and welcome email, while all others (ding, waitlist) receive the generic 'change of status' email?

At the end of the day, I know this has no bearing on the outcome but personally, it would calm my nerves knowing what exactly to look for in my inbox. Nonetheless, I'm hoping to receive a call instead of having to go through checking my status online. Talk about nerve-wrecking! :?

Good luck everyone!

You'll receive an 'updated status' email. Then you check the result on the Apply Yourself website.

So judging from last year it appears that emails didn't go out until almost 8 o'clock. That said, I just talked to admissions and they said that phone calls would be starting first thing in the morning. So I'm going to be taking my phone into the shower with me tomorrow morning, but that said I'm half expecting won't get email confirmation until late tomorrow evening!

Folks, do admitted students from Asia Far East also get phone calls? I am in Tokyo, so there is a +14H time difference. Could someone please shed any light on this? I hope all you guys in Europe and the Americas are getting some sleep. I know I will be up all night waiting for a phone call or email :?

Last year, a few Lauder candidates and maybe a handful of MBA candidates got calls on the 20th in the evening in Asia.

to correct- not on the 20th, but whenever decisions were released. so to clarify, while it was still early morning in the US, they started to call Asia.
