I am very fortunate to be in this position and wanted to tap into the collective wisdom of the forum. I was awarded a 56k fellowship over 2 years by Wharton and 90k over 2 years at Booth.

I would love to stay in the technology industry post mba. Thank you for your opinions.

I would say Wharton, based on their SF campus and their somewhat higher prestige. You really can't go wrong at either school, but $44k isn't that huge a difference.

Actually, I would say attend both admit weekends and see which school culture you like more. From what I can gather Wharton and Booth have very different student bodies on average. I was actually kinda worried about having to decide between Wharton and Booth cause I wasn't sure I'd have fit in to W, based on my friend's time there. I guess it's lucky Wharton made the decision for me, but you get to actually choose for yourself. If it's a wash, I would, again, recommend Wharton.

Personally, given that the differential is relatively small, I would choose based on cultural fit. If you feel you would be happy at either school, then I'd go with Booth to save on the debt (the "prestige" difference is not that great).

Just posting to say how amazed I am, over and over again, how quickly people disregard $34k as not much of a difference!

Some more food for thought that crossed my mind: Are you interested in big data, and is there a difference in offerings of both schools? (I've never researched Wharton)

I currently have no interest in Big Data and cannot provide a comparison in course offerings for both schools even though my guess would be for Booth having more classes on Big Data. I will be heading to both admit weekends soon and will post my decision towards the end of the month. Looking forward to meet fellow GMAT club members during those weekends.
