Are you still looking for an answer with this? Wharton emba is actually the same as the Wharton program for full time. So it really gives you a very rigorous but very quality education, without cutting the corners that most other programs do. I would recommend that you talk to people in each program. If you're going for finance I think Wharton is no-brainer. Everyone has different goals for getting an MBA, so consider what your number one goal is and then follow up on that. So for example if it's Network think about where you plan to live and research which of these schools has the best network in that area.

Both great programs...I would say Wharton overall is the better brand but I do think given the strength and the reputation of both programs I do think the location you plan to live and work should be factored in. If you are in Chicago, Booth may present some interesting advantages. Ultimately, it never hurts to touch base with additional people from the program both current students, administrators, and especially alums to gauge which program is best for you

A lot of this depends on your career focus. What do you want to do after the EMBA? Will you be going back to your company or trying to make a transition? Where do you live? It is hard to say without knowing more. I can say that most of our clients would choose Wharton but not without thinking about it further.

Thanks all for the great suggestions. I'm partially sponsored by my employer here in California and I am going back to the same company after graduation. My goal is to climb the corporate ladder to VP and eventually C-suite in the next few years.

At this point I have decided to go with Wharton, both for the undiluted MBA experience, and the convenience of attending the program at SF campus.
