I have studied for GMAT for the last 8 months and literally see no increase in scores.
My math was terrible to start with and I feel that i have made almost no progress. My GMAT is scheduled on Dec12, but after just taking another
MGMAT test and scoring 500, I think I should reschedule. BUt that would completely mess up my plans to apply for R2 to some schools.
My background - was never good in math. IN the last 10 years I took 1 required math class in UNiversity, barely got a C. THat's it.
So I started with
MGMAT basics book, and went through all quant books after that (1-4).
I have also worked through all OG12 problems twice. Doing them the second time, I found that I still couldn't get about 30% right.
I go through each problem I got wrong. When I read the explanation I understand the answer, however, when I am looking at the same problem after a couple of weeks, I don't know what to do. I feel that I can't recognize any patterns to approch the problems becuase there is just so much material that GMAT covers.
My MGAT Cat scores are as follows:
Date Math Verbal Total
1
MGMAT 4/10/2011 28 34 520
2
MGMAT 7/5/2011 26 35 520
3
MGMAT 9/10/2011 15 34 430
4
MGMAT 9/18/2011 38 33 590
5
MGMAT 10/2/2011 43 34 640
6
MGMAT 12/4/2011 28 31 500
What am I doing wrong? I am at a complete loss of ideas..... I average about 2-3 hrs on workdays and 3-4 hrs on weekends.
