Hey guys I'm currently trying to evaluate my options, if I truly have any, any help, advice or suggestions appreciated!
Profile:
White/Male/23 when applying (next year this time)
BA Economics, 2.63 (pretty abysmal) from a non-target state school
GMAT 740
Will have 1.5 WE in a finance role at University upon application submission
I also completed CFA level 1
Job goal: Landing a job in an IBanking is main goal, but Corporate Fin (in Big4 is secondary goal)
Additionally I'll be taking courses in the mean time to 'distance' myself from the GPA as best I can.
Targets: Vandy, WUSTL, UVA's MiM, BC, Nova, UTA, UMD
I know that most if not all of those are optimistic to say the least, so any other suggestions that best match my profile while still giving at my job goals!
Thanks Agian
I don't know. I think you'd get into Nova. Have a good chance at WUSTL. Definitely in at UMD. UVA might be tough since they tend to like fresh graduates. I think the GPA will ding you there as well. You can check out their new MS in Global Commerce if you want. 1st year so they might forgive the GPA.
IMO, position yourself as someone who made a few mistakes during UG, but has WE and CFA L1. GMAT helps a ton as well. Try and slice and dice your GPA to show better GPA score. You can do this a variety of ways.
