as mentioned in post above , focus on the controllable i.e. gmat score , application essay , LOR , than worrying about other factors regarding admission i.e. low gpa etc .. all thats done is history and the only way to correct what has happened is focus and improve in the present..
wish you the best..

Hey all! Kindly help me out -
I'm from BITS Pilani (One of top 10 universities in India) - 2022 Grad
ACAD - 10/10 in X, 97% in +2, 6.5/10 in UG
Work Exp - 18 months of internship experience (including one at an MNC, and one at a foreign company, and 2 at Indian startups), 3 months of work experience at Flipkart in management sector by the time of application.
Leadership - Founded an ecommerce startup during sophomore year and catered to few hundreds of customers. Head of a club at college.
Extra-curricular - Cricket Player at College, Have volunteer experience. Member of few other club and departments.
Languages - Three (Written Proficiency)
No specific international exposure as such. GMAT - yet to give. Official Practice Test Score - 700

My low CGPA in UG was due to the other things I was working on - startup and internships. Regarding the impact I had at internships, I have been offered full time opportunities at every internship I have done (4 of them). And concerning the startup, it was the first Ecom startup that offered 3d personalization in live website across hundreds of products. Had to discontinue it though because ran out of money to scale it and sales were slow due to covid. If this helps, I'm the only guy placed at Flipkart for this management role. And regarding international experience, I have worked at a UAE startup as an intern, does that count? The teammates were Indians though. Does this make a lot of difference in my profile? Any way I can make up for this?

I'm mainly aiming for MIM at HEC Paris, INSEAD France, and LBS. Kindly let me know my chances/what I can do to make them better.
Thanks a ton!

Hi red769 hope this finds you in good health

Decent profile overall. INSEAD and LBS are in a way obsessed with the international aspect unless the applicant has some other striking achievement, for example, entrepreneurial experience or founding a start-up. But the schools also understand that young graduates may not have the right type of international opportunities that can be categorized under the more conventional international experience bucket. Therefore you should try to do your best with your experience of working at the MNC and the foreign company, drawing on insights around cultural diversity. Having done 2 stints at Indian startups, you definitely have an edge. With a really good application, HEC Paris MiM seems like a realistic option. Give your best shot anyway.

Feel free to reach out should you need professional guidance.

Hey, You have a pretty decent profile here, I’m especially impressed with your extracurriculars.
Your profile is evaluated on a number of parameters :
    - GPA
    - Test scores (GMAT, GRE, IELTS, etc.)
    - Work experience
    - Extracurriculars

Let’s evaluate your profile accordingly.

GPA - your GPA is pretty decent plus you graduate from a top tier university university, this will definitely add weight to your application.

GMAT - you haven’t taken GMAT yet, so try to score 700+ as your target score

Work experience - I see you have done quite a few internships, your association with known brands will definitely benefit you.
You will need to explain your roles and responsibilities at your organisations, how you were a valuable member there. Same way you mentioned here just in a more professional way.
This will ultimately add value to you.

Extracurricular activities - Your extracurriculars are pretty impressive. Do not forget to mention all your achievements in your SOP, and provide appropriate certifications
This definitely highlight your leadership qualities and again adds value to you.

I will definitely say you have a pretty decent profile you just need to present yourself in your application

You need to understand that thousands of applicants will be applying to the same course you are applying to, to increase your chances of admission you need to make yourself stand out of the crowd and explain why you are the perfect candidate for this course.

Your target schools are: HEC, LBS and INSEAD
These schools have a pretty good MiM program and you will get to learn a lot.
But these are all top tier universities, so the competition is fairly high in these schools.

Hence, I would recommend you to apply to some back up schools as well where competition is fairly moderate like : Bath, Durham, Waterloo, Telfer,EDHEC an Skema

If you would like, we can help you with essays and SOPs and other application process.

We have helped over 5000 students get admit into their dream schools.
