what are my chances to get admitted to top b schools for MIM
currently doing BE in electrical engineering 3rd year
if i get a GMAT score of 690+
i had already done one internship of 3 months and planing on doing more 2 internship
completing engg with a 7.5 cgpa
completed extra two certificate courses for knowledge related to electrical engineering
No work experience
extra caricular
actively participated in chess and other tech fest programs in college and inter college competition
completed excel beginner to advance course

You have a pretty decent profile.
Beginning your evaluation with your academic background, I’d say you’ve maintained a fair GPA, however since you haven’t mentioned the brand of your university, I would like to inform you that the brand also matters since B-schools tend to pick applicants from the top 10 universities of the respective countries. Thus, you will be competing against applicants from colleges like IITs and NITs. However, that can be compensated by drawing attention to your extracurriculars, a strong GMAT score and a strong application that showcases how you have grown at your own university.
As far as the GMAT goes, a score of 690 and above, would surely allow you to target the MiM programs in top schools. You should definitely aim to score as high as you can since a strong GMAT score would bolster the AdComs confidence in your academic abilities and improve your acceptance chances.
Moving on, as you have not mentioned a lot of details about your extracurricular activities, I’d like to let you know that Extracurricular participation plays an important role in strengthening your applications as B-schools are on the hunt for all-rounder profiles. Hence, it is essential to shed some light on the endeavours you have taken up at any clubs, associations, sports, fests or events you managed or participated in during your undergrad. While the chess experience is impressive, you should dig deeper into your tech fest and inter-college experiences and bring out varied skills in your profile or seek to build in this area if the need be. Furthermore, Adding any kind of volunteering experience to your profile would help bolster your application since B-schools are looking for applicants with an inclination for social change. So joining an NGO would help to showcase your ability to empathize with other people and help develop your profile more holistically.
As far as your internship experience goes, you ought to explain and highlight the major projects of your work and how these experiences helped to develop and further groom your skills and knowledge. Highlight why you chose these firms, how you have gone beyond the role, any initiatives you took and any kind of impact created to establish a connection with your goals and portray the knowledge gained from these experiences. Properly highlighting this would allow you to stand at par with candidates with more extensive work experience hailing from big 4 brands. That said, connecting your work experience and your decision to pursue a masters is very important.
Coming to shortlisting the right schools for your profile, whenever you are applying to schools abroad, it is always ideal to target a mix of dream, competitive, and safe schools. To increase your chances of getting admitted at these schools you would need to ensure that you have a very strong application consisting of well-drafted Essays, LORs and resume to back your profile. You need to showcase your journey, what makes you different from your peers and how you are a great value addition to the school. A strong application increases your chances of acceptance by up to 30%.
