Hi all,
This is where I stand:
I took the GMAT the first time in 2011 when I was still an undergrad. I pretty much took it cold turkey and did horribly: I scored Q33, V25, AWA 4.5 for a total for 490.
I took it again 2 weeks ago and scored Q35, V32, AWA 4 IR 5 for a total of 560. I studied for about two months. All the practice tests I took pointed that I'd get a 500...
I know that a 560 isn't good enough for me to get into my top schools (Anderson/Marshall). I'm considering taking the GMAT again in late November to apply for Round 2 in early January.
So my questions are:
- Is it realistic that I be able to improve my score to be competitive for those programs? I've only got 2.5 years of work experience and a so-so GPA.
- I don't know if getting a tutor would help in this short of a time period. What other ways can I study besides taking a slew of practice tests?
Thank you in advance!
