There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
I've previously worked at Deloitte as an auditor/accountant, and later obtained my CPA license. Now I'm currently doing an MBA program (with a specialization in Finance) and want to do management consulting at a consulting firm (Deloitte, PwC, Accenture, etc.) for financial industries. What are some exit opps after a few years of consulting?
I think it really depends on what type of consulting you are doing. Let's assume you are looking into management consulting. Many folks will want to work in corporate strategy groups at big companies after two to three years. Some will go into product management or general management type positions. I think more and more are looking at startup opportunities as well. Overall I think the exit opportunities out of consulting are over inflated by recruiters.
