I need some advice from everyone. I anticipate on taking the GMAT for the 3rd time probably the beginning of february. I did horribly on the first two attempts. The first time was a 370 and the second time was a 440. My target score is only between a 550-600. I know that my weakest area is RC and also timing. What can I do to improve my score so that I can hit my target score?
These are the materials that I own:
pr 2005
kp 2005 and CD
OG 10th edition
Manhattan GMAT guides..all 7 and the CD
LSAT materials
Manhattan GMAT question banks
powerpreps
gmatpreps
This is my anticipated study plan:
Since I know my weakest area is in RC.
-I plan on doing at least 5 RC passage each day until the exam date.
-Go through my error log on the OG Guide at least twice.
-Go through all the basic concepts of the Manhattan gmat guides and the error logs for the questions that I have gotten wrong on the question banks at least twice.
-Take a practice test every weekend and take one every day a week before the exam just to build stamina on my timing.
Does this plan sound good? Should I even try to do the challenges on this site even though I am not shooting for a 700+?
Please help! I really dont want to take it for the 4th time. I need to pass this time!

Your plan sounds good. Here are a few things I would suggest:
- in RC, initially take your own time but make sure you UNDERSTAND:
+the organization of the passage
+ what AUTHOR is saying and what OTHERS
+ what is the tone of the author. Remember what author says/feel is most important. Others are just distractions.
It might be more effective doing 4 passages (you get around 4 passages during test) but focus on them. Gradually, you can practice with strict timings.
- It is a good idea to take your practice tests aroungs same time as your scheduled actual test.
- Read, if you can, on topics you are not comfortable with.
You can find a number of discussion thread in GMAT/Verbal sub forums on strategies.
