I forgot the exact question in OG, but I remember that there is a OG question that has "in that" in options.
I want to know the function of "in that" and what does "in that" actually mean?

You use 'in that' to introduce an explanation or clarification of something you just said. It's similar to 'because'.
Examples:
- I'm lucky in that I have many friends.
- This research is important in that it confirms the link between aggression and alcohol.
- The new system is better in that it never crashes.
(The explanation and examples are from online dictionary sites. They define phrases too, not just words.)

Thank you so much for your explanation.
We can use "in that" and "because" interchangeably, right? I mean either is fine in GMAT (GMAT doesn't prefer because to in that). We should find other mistake in each option.
