What does middle 80% mean in terms of GMAT scores?
Does it mean 10% are above the range and 10% are below the range?
The median and the mean for my school is 620
Middle 80% is 540-700
My score is a 690...
If that is the case, I am guessing my chance for scholarship is low since 10% of the class has a higher GMAT than me?

Your definition is correct.
Scholarships take into account a lot more than GMAT scores, but yes, a little more than 10% of people have better scores than you
