Remember that the shortcut to divide by ten is just shift a decimal one place to the left. 1% = dividing by 100, so shift the decimal to the left two places and insert the requisite zeros after the decimal point. The correct answer is choice A - 0.00023.

One percent of 0.023 is:

0.01 x 0.023 = 0.00023

A, 0.00023.
[.023][/100] is the equivalent to multiplying by [1][/100]. 100=10^2, so move decimal point two places to the left.

1 percent of 0.023

= $$\frac{1}{100}$$*$$\frac{23}{1000}$$

= $$\frac{23}{100000}$$= 0.00023
