Hi all,
Yesterday I did a preparation test and got 670 Q47, V35 (GMAC Test 1)
I´ve done in the last months several test with a range of values between 690-650 and Q48-Q44 and V37-32
I´d say that my level is around 670 Q47 V35 and I´d like to achieve at least 700 in the real exam.
Is it possible to increase around 30 points in one month?
I think that from one side Q47 is quite ok and there is more space for improvement in Verbal, but from the other side I´m stuck with Verbal. I´ve read MGMAT strategy books but their tactics don´t ¨work¨with me.
I don´t know if to focus in trying to complete OG exercises hoping that practice will increase my score by experience and "natural intuition" (up to now it worked to raise V30 to V35), or try to learn new Verbal tactics (it didn´t work in the past)
Any help or real experience to share?

Hi 50groszy,
GMAC has publicly stated that the Official Score that you earn on Test Day is within +/- 30 points of actual ability. Assuming a similar 'swing' in how your CATs function, your CAT score results show that you could have very easily scored 700+. However, since you haven't been able to do it yet, you're likely making certain fundamental errors every time you take a CAT. Since you've been studying a certain way for the last couple of months, you have to take a really good look at WHY you're getting questions wrong. Any time you get a question wrong because of a silly/little mistake, then THAT is an issue that MUST fix (and usually the solution is to take more/better notes).
1) What practice materials have you used so far?
2) When you took these CATs, did you take the ENTIRE CAT (with the Essay and IR sections)?
