I tried to figure out some way, but couldn't.

We know that the sum of two sides of a traingle is greater than the third side.

Hence, a + (a+b) > a+2b
=>> 2a+b > a+2b
=>> a > b

But this doesn't give any clue of finding max value of a>b. Hence "E" is the answer.

Interesting point is that if we had solved from smt 1 that a<b then, we could have got the answer i.e 0.99999... but that still will be a indefinite number. Correct me if I am wrong.
