If we drop a perpendicular from point B to meet Side DC at E (as shown). It forms a trapezium ADEB and a triangle EBC
Length of parallel sides of trapezium are (1.6 - 0.8) = 0.8 and (1.6 - 1.2) = 0.4 and distance between them = 2.0 - 1.4 = 0.6
Area of trapezium ADEB = 1/2*0.6*(0.8 + 0.4) = 1/2*0.6)1.2 = 0.36
For right triangle EBC, height EB = 0.4 and base EC = 0.2
Area of triangle = 1/2*0.2*0.4 = 0.04
So, total area ABCD = 0.36 + 0.04 = 0.4
IMO Option B

each scale unit is 0.2
so divide the region ABCD as 2 ∆ and 1 rectangle
we get 0.6*0.4+ 1/2* ( 0.4*0.6)+1/2*(0.4)*(0.2)
total= 0.4
IMO B
