What is the area of triangle ABC?
(1) AB = 3 and AC = 5
(2) B is a right angle.

Statement A is not sufficient as we dont know the third side.
Statement B does not reveal much.
Combining it becomes a right triangle and we can find the area.
So C is the answer.

Statement 1 indicates the third side can be between any value greater than 2 and lesser than 8.
Not sufficient.
Statement 2 indicates triangle is a right triangle.
Not sufficient.
Statement 1 & 2 together give the value of the third side, hence we can find the area.
So sufficient.
