Hi Guys.
I am new to this forum and joined yesterday after following it for more than month. After getting the info about books and all and convincing myself that its the time I am taking my first step. I bought almost all necessary books: OG, Kaplan, PRE and was started going through these to brush up my somewhere lost knowledge of maths and verbal.
Now the question I have for all the expert guys on this forum is to help me decide what to start. In some of the posting I found people suggesting going through Kaplan or PR an giving CATs and then doing OG and some are saying in reverse. I talked to one guy at my workplace who has done his MBA from one of the top american Univ is saying something else
... I guess its peoples own choice and comfertablty but in general what the "mass" prefer,.. please advise.

Yeah, it really is personal preference, but I would say that if you've been out of school for a while, I wouldn't take a CAT first. I would start with the PR book to get an understanding of the test. Read through the strategies and do the practice questions in the book.
If you're feeling fairly comfortable with your initial practice (including review of the fundamentals with math especially), then try one of the CATs. If you're feeling rusty, then I would start working through questions in the OG. Do some in each section, and after a week or two take a CAT.
I think many of the people who are successful do practice questions in the OG on weekdays, working through one question type at a time and reviewing errors carefully, then taking a full, timed practice test each weekend.

Thanks for responding SB..I have gone through the PR/Kaplan section for initial start taking some questions from OG just for initial warm up. I havnt given any CAT yet though. Now I guess I should give a full length CAT to start buildig the stemna.
