What is the maximum possible range of xy?

(1) -5<=x<=-1
(2) 3<=y<=10

Statement 1 or 2 alone is insufficient

Statement 1&2 together sufficient.

Gives the range of 47.

What is the maximum possible range of xy?

(1) -5<=x<=-1
(2) 3<=y<=10

Range = max. value of xy- min. value of xy

max. value @ x=-1 , y=3-----xy=-3
min. vaue @ x=-5 , y= 10-----xy=-50

Range =-3-(-50)=47

Ans 47
