What is the minimum number of rectangular tiles, each 12 centimeters by 18 centimeters, needed to completely cover five flat rectangular surfaces, each 60 centimeters by 180 centimeters?

A. 50
B. 100
C. 150
D. 200
E. 250
Area of 1 flat surface = 60 cm * 180 cm
=> Area of 5 flat surfaces = 60 cm * 180 cm * 5

Area of 1 tile = 12 cm * 18 cm

Now,
No. of tiles required to completely cover 5 flat surfaces = Area of 5 flat surfaces/Area of 1 tile = \(\frac{60 cm * 180 cm * 5}{12 cm * 18 cm}\) = 5 * 10 * 5 = 250

Hence, OA is (E)
