I am 36already. I have a undergraduate GPA Math90% and master of math in finance Gpa just 79.3% from canada. My Gmat 700 (Q50 V35 AWA 4)
I have no papers published but master essay in applied area. And also my age is old. I plan to apply for LBS finance....
Do I have some hope to get in for 2010?

Any ideas?

I'm used to Canada but am only used to GPAs on the /4 or /4.33 scale, so I can't tell what 79.3% really means. That said, your GMAT score seems low for a Finance PhD at a school such as LBS (it's not terrible since the problem comes from the verbal side). However, your math background is definitely a plus, especially if it's from a school that's at least relatively well-known in Canada (e.g. Western, Queen's, and so on).

I got my underg from york in toronto and master of math from University Waterloo. I don't have time to rewrite Gmat. And Do I need toefl because English is not my native language? Funny,I got two different answer for this question from one staff at LBS .



Any clue?

No clue about that -- it's school specific. Some schools will require it anytime your native language is not English while others won't if you've been to college in English.

That said, I'm sure you know entry at top finance schools is extremely tough. If you're set on doing a Finance PhD, I think you should make sure you apply to more than just LBS and apply to at least 1-2 lower tier schools.
