What is the probabily of your kid is born on the same day as you.
I think the answer should be 1/365 (Total number of possibly =365 and there is only 1 favorable case).
But answer seems to be 1/(365*365). Can someone explain.

it's really tricky but 1/365 is definitely wrong. the chance of the kid being born on ANY day = 1/365. that's enough to show that the odds have to be lower for being born on the same day as someone else. the odds of the person having that particular day as a bday is 1/365. therefor the probability of both having the same day is 1/365 x 1/365.
A simpler way of looking at it is an axample like: what is the probability of rolling a dice twice and a 6 each time? 1/6 x 1/6

hey, where did u find this question? i thought about it some more and i'm getting a little confused.
if the question is: what is the probability of a kid being born on the same day as his father then the answer is 1/365 x 1/365
but i think the one above should be 1/365 since we know our birthdays.
