(B) -- insufficient , same as for (A)
Combining :
Subtracting (B) from (A) we get , a=3 & b=6 -> a^2*b^2 = 9 * 36 = 324
Ans : C

What is the value of a^2*b^2?
(A) 2a + b = 12
(B) 3a + 3b = 27
(A) 2a + b = 12
(B) 3a + 3b = 27
\(a^2b^2 = (ab)^2\). Hence, the quesion actually asks the value of \(ab\).
(A) or (B) : We cant know the value of \(ab\)
Combine (A) and (B): solving 2 equations we have \(a=3\) and \(b=6\). Now we know what the value of \(ab\) is.
Sufficient.
The answer is C
