( 2) (m+2)^m = 125

THIS is a try

st 1 gives a quadratic : m^2+2M-15=O
computing discrimant D delta =64
Hence two values not sufficient to give A VALUE

ST2 (m+2)^m= 125
So i try to write 125 with powers
so 5^3
So m be 3
and Sum 3+2 power 3 GIVES 125
so m is 3

So b
hope this is not ets trap

plz correct me if i am wrong

B is correct one.
but what is "computing discrimant D delta =64"?

In general quadratic expression ax^2+bx+c=0, discriminant = b^2-4ac
in this case 64, which means that there are two distinct solutions.

This is an ETS question.

I put this since OA given is 'C', though I answered it as 'B'.

Can anybody tell, why is it 'C' & not 'B'?

i do not think it is C. it should be B because if we use trial and error in statement ii, it gives 3 as value of m.
