(A) y is integer so it can be 41,42 or 43. Not Sufficient
(B) y has at least one factor k such that 1 < k < y. So y should not be a prime number. Not Sufficient.
combining A and B, y should be one of these - 41,42 and 43. Also y should not be prime. Hence y is 42. Sufficient. So Correct answer is C

It must Be C.
A alone is not sufficient as it can be 41,42 and 43 .
B alone cant be sufficient as y can be any number .
A+ B = 41 and 43 is prime no and has no factor except itself and 1 . SO Y must be 42 Only .
SO answer must be 42.
