(2) t/w = 6/7 and v/2 = 14

tv/w = ?

1: 7t = 6w and v=2w
tv/w = (6w/7) (2w)/w = 12w/7. .. nsf

2: t/w = 6/7 and v/2 = 14
tv/w = (6/7)(28) = 24. sufficient.

I think it is C. How do you know that V is equal to 28 without using stat 1?
