(1) $$3x∗4x$$=144

$$12^x$$ =$$12^2$$ - SUFFICIENT

(2)$$(10^x)^x$$ =10,000

$$(10)^x^2$$ = $$10^4$$ - SUFFICIENT

x can equal 2 and -2 in (2), so I would go with (A).

IMO A.

Have to find value of X.

1. X=2, Sufficient.

2. X=4, therefore, values of X possible are +2/-2. Not sufficient.

Hence, A.
