Both x= 8 hence Suff

The answer is C.
This question can be solve logically, no calculations necessary: both statements on their own provide an infinite amount of options for x, so they are insufficient. But their overlap has only one number (8): thus, Combined gives us the answer.

Alone, of course each statement is insufficient.

Combining, x = 8 is the only value that satisfies both the equations.

8 is the only number that is equal to or greater than 8 as well as equal to or less than 8.

C is my answer.
