What is the value of X3(cubic) - 2X2(square) + 7
(1) 3X3(cubic) - X = 2
(2) X3(cubic) = 1

Is this data sufficient? (the right number of X means power)

the answer is D, why choice one is data sufficient?

A) 3X^3 - x = 2
X( 3x^2-1) = 2 The only solution to this equation is x = 1

B) is very obvious where x = 1

In A x can be equal only to 1, thus A is sufficient
And B is obvious.

3-1-2 = 0

(x-1)(3x^2 + 3x + 2) = 0

3x^2+3x+2 > 0, for all real values of x.

Therefore, the said equation has *only one* real solution.
