Statement 1 & 2 are clearly insufficient since N and X are unknown.
If we solve 1 and 2 together, we will get 2 different values for x- 4 and 5.
Therefore, ( E ).

hey i had this query that
as said in the first statement that tony bought N cakes with 100 tk
so, 100/N=X
in the second statement it says 150/N+5=X+1
so if we combine both and the put the value of X in the and 2nd statements equation
we can get N and the putting N in any eqn we can get x
correct me where I am wrong pls.
