Question stem:- What is the volume of a given cylinder?

Volume of cylinder=$$\pi*r^h$$
We require info on r and h.

St1:- The surface area of the cylinder is 20π.
or, $$2*\pi*r(h+r)=20π$$--------(a)
one equation, 2 variables.
Insufficient to determine r and h.

St2:- The height of the cylinder is 5
h=5.---------(b)
The value of 'r' is unknown.
Insufficient.

Combined, we can determine 'r' by substituting h=5 .Subsequently we can determine volume.

Sufficient.
