MC becomes hard outside of the top 20ish or so.
For finance you can go a little lower.
That said, you can get a job at a big firm from a lower ranked school it will just be harder

If I were you, I'd only apply to Harvard and Stanford if you have money to burn -- I think that your profile has near insurmountable odds against those pools.

Columbia seems like a good reach school to leave in, and in my opinion, ought to be your #1 target so much that you should apply ED.

NYU and Cornell are good fit schools that I think you have a very reasonable chance of acceptance at. I would add Duke and Carnegie Mellon to your research list. Maybe an outside look at Boston College and Rochester as potential safety schools.

Thanks a lot for your advice. I'm starting doing my application for Cornell right now since their round 2 will be closed next week on 11/09/2010.
I just took my GMAT 2 days ago only. I can only start my essays this week.
Do you think it's a bit rush for me to aim finishing the application next Tuesday? Will it any harm if i'm aiming for next round (Jan 2011)?

Looking quickly at last year's Cornell thread, there was a nice success rate for R3 candidates at Cornell. If your application is going to suffer by pushing it too quickly, I would definitely hold back for R3. Just stay out of Cornell R4.

Thank you very much.
I'll take your advice. Will concentrate on my essays. Hope that I will be able to get in NYU or Cornell.
