What out of addition,multiplicaton,division & addition does '&' represnts in the following equation
(5&6)&2 = 5&(6&2)

1. 5&6 = 6&5
2. 2&0 = 0

To me combining 1 & 2 can give the result but the prep software says 1 alone can answer the question.

wud appreciated is someone can throw some light on it.

from 1, & could be addition or multiplication. it is not sufficient.
From 2, & is multiplication. so it is sufficient.

it should be B not A.

From A) it can be addition or multiplication
From B) it can be only multiplication
Also think that it is B)
Just a note- guess that one of the additions should be substraction

This is a B.

Look at statement 2 which says 2&0= 0
2+0 = 2
2-0 = 2
2/0 = undefined
2*0 = 0

so it has to be *
