What percent of the integers between 200 and 999, inclusive, end with the digits “03”?

(A) 1%
(B) 3%
(C) 4%
(D) 5%
(E) 25%

Total number of integers that ends with the digit "03" = 203,303,403,503,603,703,803,903 = 8

Total number of integers between 200 and 999 inclusive = 999 - 200 + 1 = 800

Therefore, the required percentage = (8 / 800) * 100 = 1 %

(999-200)+1 = 800 numbers in range

3 slots to fill.
First slot can take any 8 digits from 2-9 inclusive
second slot can take only 1 digit, 0
Third slot can take only 1 digit, 3

8*1*1 = 8
numbers in range = 800

(8/800)*100 = 1%
