Hi,
to avoid using always "the author" "the writer" "the speaker" in my AWA, more than once in the same paragraph, I try to alternate with some pronoun, but which gender???
I noticed for example that "the author" is very often associated with "she". Fine, but what about the writer and the reader? Should I use "he or she". The
MGMAT books where I'm studying from, suggest in the sentence correction section, that when the gender is not known we should use "he or she" "him or her"... but this rule, in an AWA reads quite muddy...
Then I found this article on
MGMAT an article on "using he she in writing" where it is recommended the use on one gender only, and to stick with it along the AWA, so now I am really confused...
Thanks
