Hi everyone, this is my first post! Been lurking, but I didn't find an answer so I figured I'd give this a shot.
I'm 3 weeks into the studying for the GMAT with a target date of February 8 for writing the exam. Alittle background, I scored 550 on my diagnostic which is somewhat surprising, considering I failed and retook high school mathematics. Didn't touch it for about 3 years of my professional life...so I'm trying to catch up on my theory. I'm aiming to go through everything, verbal and quant.
I'm wondering how people split their time between studying the theory (e.g. reading the study guides, strategies, and drill questions on a specialized component) and general practice (straight GMAT practice questions)? In my particular example, I'm working through the
Manhattan GMAT books starting with Quant and the FDP, and I switch in to GMAT Qs later in the study session only to find myself thrown in to an ocean with hits or misses or taking way too slow on some questions.
I realize everyone has their own style of studying, so I'm curious to see if anyone had more a conscious way of approaching this?
Much thanks.
