Background:
4 years Military experience (officer)
BS in Aerospace Engineering from the top program in the US
I'm studying for my GMAT and I was initially looking to get into the MSF program at the University of Wyoming. It would cost basically nothing out of pocket paying all my bills with the GI bill and an assistance ship with the school which means no student loans. I'm looking to break the 700s in my GMAT but I know my degree in a field other than finance isn't great. It was a very math intensive school so I've got that going for me. I want to end up in Financial Planning or Financial Advising and after I get a MSF I would like to pursue a CFP (and possibility a CFA).
My question is: How is the University of Wyoming's MSF program compared to other schools? How is it looked upon in the Financial field? Would I be better off trying to get into a more renown school which will cost a lot more?
Thanks for any advice you can give.
