Hi guys. I hope this is the right section for my questions.
I'm planning to take the test, and I just started looking around for infos, strategies and whatever I could learn on this fantastic community.
As suggested in the section 'study plans' I did a gmatPrep cat without preparation (I only did some questions randomly before to get comfortable with the test format, and some of gmatclub 700+ quant questions) and I scored a totally unexpected 680 q49v34. I was pretty confident about a good result in the quant section, I'm studying engineering and I've ever been good enough with numbers. On the other hand I wasn't expecting a V34: I’m far from proficiency in English. On SCs I fail the most for my lacks in grammar, while the biggest problem in RC and CR is the arduous terminology used (specially on RCs).
Now, what way do you suggest me to move in? What books do you suggest me to buy? (I was thinking to buy the complete mgmat set+og)
Consider that I’m planning to take the test in November, so I have a lot of time, and my target is 700+, the higher the better.

I would say this only shows that you have perhaps capability of scoring 750+, which is a phenomenal score. So, you should not be satisfied with just a 700+ in the exam.
From my very limited knowledge, I would suggest that you only focus on official questions (official publications + official questions on GMATClub) during your preparation. There is scope for improvement in both quant and verbal; of course more so in verbal.

A 680 is a fantastic "baseline" score. Considering that you're not planning to take the GMAT until November, you're in a great position to potentially score at a really high level.
While most Test Takers cannot "peak" by taking a book-heavy study approach, you might be able to, and in a shorter period of time than most other Test Takers.
As a way to gauge your progress, here's what I suggest: study as you see fit for the next month or so (you can use whichever books most interest you), then take a FULL-LENGTH CAT (including the Essay and IR sections). Once you have those scores, you should report back here. Those numbers will give us a sense of how you're progressing and whether you need to adapt your approach.
It's possible (and even quite likely), that you could take the GMAT far earlier than you planned.
