I would also like to add that the most important thing you can do in your HBS essay is to come up with an overarching theme. A highlight reel of accomplishments or a standard run-down of your career to date, goals and reasons for wanting to attend HBS will in and of itself not wow over the Admissions Committee. Everything must tie together and be memorable. I urge folks to think long and hard about what kind of umbrella motif best characterizes their life to date and ultimately what their mission in life is to, as HBS puts it, "to make a difference in the world."
