What to do if Gmat score falls sharply in next attempt?

HI All,

Below are my GMAT attempts summary, My score felled from 680 to 610.

QUESTION: The colleges that says they take "best Score" consider highest score irrespective of raise or fall compared to previous attempts?

Question     :do i have to give the justification of steep fall in my score during application process? (if yes, should I take GMAT for 4th time to improve?)

The majority of schools (mb 90%+) simply just look at your highest score and use that as a reference point. It's unnecessary to explain your lower score - but you should be strong in other parts of your profile to counter. Was the lower score because of quant or verbal specifically? Schools will look at your 680, the fall to 610 can be arguably a disadvantage but at first glance they will look at the 680. Then if things come to a waitlist, they will dive further and into your profile and make a decision accordingly - that's where a drop in gmat score could potentially play a role. But I wouldn't worry about it too much as you got a 680 already, if that is in range for your school then don't spend too much time worrying about it. Instead try to build up a stronger application. If that's hard and not possible, then as a last resort I would think about GMAT again.

Yup.. all my colleges are within my gmat range...
your insight will help.. i will rather work on my application instead of giving gmat again and missing deadlines.
