I have started my preparation a month back for GMAT. Earlier I was planning to give older GMAT but now I realise giving GMAT focus makes more sense. What are the topic I can skip from Verbal and quant to effortlessly change my prep toward GMAT focus since I have shortage of time to prepare.

In a prior post, you noted that you wanted to take the GMAT sometime in October. However, the GMAT Focus Edition is currently not going to be available to take until November 7th (meaning that under your current timeframe, you would have to take the CURRENT version of the GMAT). As such, we have to define your timeline in a bit more detail before we can define how you might best proceed with your studies.
Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

For Verbal, skipping SC is pretty much the only difference. Might be worth checking out the main thread that talks about the Focus Edition (the title of the thread is "GMAT Focus Edition - Everything You Need to Know"). Aside from what's different in terms of material, you may also want to look at the structural changes. There is an ability to change answers sometimes.
