You really do seem to have a good profile, but sad to hear what happened to you.
As far as i know and from what i have been able to glean from research, GMAT though only one of the criterias of the admission committee is a very important one. It is like the gatekeeper, if you have a GMAT above a certain level you get in and then the other parts of your profile are evaluated, but if you GMAT is below a certain average then you are done for and are rejected right away. There have been instances with people with low GMAT scores getting in, but then your profile and you application must be really very good.
Now i dont know which school you applied to and hence how stringent they are on the GMAT, for example top mim schools such as LBS and HEC are very particular about the GMAT, and are proud to maintain their so called avg gmat level of 710+. While other schools are more relaxed and accept you even though your score is below their average.
Now 570 is sadly a low score, and will make your applicant acceptance very difficult.
Maybe the ad com interviewer will stick to her word and get your through, but i have known instances where in order to get more people to apply schools encourage applications with low scores ven though they know the applicant have a strong chance to get rejected. I guess this is mostly due to the fee income they have from every applications and other such targets.
Now again i repeat i am not saying the school you applied to follows this strategy, but some schools do follow this.
I would suggest pray to god that you application gets accepted, but side by side prepare to give the GMAT again.
I know its tough to prepare for it but the dividends of a good score are really great.
You can get a very comprehensive profile evaluation done here, that would allow me to give you a much better overview of your chances
