Hi Everyone!
The biggest question on my mind right now, is when I should give my GMAT. I plan to go for the 2015 entry (and potentially, even the 2016 entry). I'm relatively free at work for the next 2-3 months, and was hoping to get GMAT done with. However, I've a doubt regarding the validity of the GMAT. I know it's valid for 5 years, but would it be an issue if I apply with a score that is 2-3 years old?
SECONDLY, I'm also trying to figure out what my preparation strategy should be. I've tried the old reading & practicing method, but I tend to lose focus very quickly. I've been reading that e-GMAT is a good source of content, and because it's in audio/video format, it would help in countering my concentration problem. Any recommendations on what strategy I should really follow?
My background:
Bachelors in Engineering
Work Exp - 3.5 years in Consulting
Target score - 720+

Hi getsunny,
No, it would not be an issue with a score that is 2-3 years old. Generally speaking, you want to take the GMAT earlier rather than later - especially if you are in school or just out of school. Your test taking abilities are sharper when you are taking tests regularly (in school). Those skills are still strong a few years out. But the longer you wait, the harder it will to get back into the rhythm of test taking.

Also, you should dedicate 5 days to your weakest section with no distractions from other types of questions. The idea is to maximize your improvement in this section first in as little time as possible. You can read more about our 1 month study plan approach here:
