Hi,
After putting down quite a few hours for the GMAT test (reading Kaplan books, completing most of OG Q's etc) I have now started to dig into the variety of GMATClub questions out there. And a questions came to my head: For those of you who have done most of these questions (including OG and others), have you ever come across similar questions during your GMAT?
I assume that most of the questions both in the OG and here on the forum are somehow related to the wide array of possibilities one might face on the test day. But, have you met exactly the same questions?
I am curious how familiar one might actually become by going through all these tests.

There is a degree of questions that you will recognize (GMAT is about patterns) but those are easier quant and verbal questions. Once you get into the 700-land you are guaranteed to see a question/trap that you have NEVER encountered before. That's my personal experience and I have seen that confirmed by many test takers, and I feel is a pretty impressive thing about the GMAT, so that's why knowing the background/basics/fundamentals is key.

I haven't taken it myself so far, but a friend told me that it's impossible to come across the same questions. He even recommended me not to spend too much time on preparation. However, I don't believe him. I think that questions are not the same, but there are definitely questions which are similar in some way. I feel that my confidence grows with every hour I spend studying=) Good luck to you!
