When studying for the GMAT, one should remember that one's analytical ability means succeeding.

(A) one's analytical ability means succeeding - Parallelism error. Ability as a noun is not parallel with succeeding.

(B) one's analytical ability means to succeed - Same error as A. Ability is not parallel with 'to succeed'.

(C) one's analytical ability means their success - Incorrect usage of their.

(D) their analytical ability means success- Incorrect usage of their.

(E) one's analytical ability means one's success- Correct. Corrects the parallelism error. Ability is parallel with success.

When studying for the GMAT, one should remember that one's analytical ability means succeeding.

IMO E

(A) one's analytical ability means succeeding
[Why to use gerund in place of an noun object?]
(B) one's analytical ability means to succeed
[No subject is directly performing the action of succeeding]
(C) one's analytical ability means their success
[One's - Singular; their is wrongly used]
(D) their analytical ability means success
[One's - Singular; their is wrongly used]
(E) one's analytical ability means one's success [Correct]
[General statement needs a standard noun (one's success) instead of the gerund (succeeding)]

When studying for the GMAT, one should remember that one's analytical ability means succeeding.

(A) one's analytical ability means succeeding
succeeding is present continuous verb and not parallel with Ability, which is noun. Eliminate

(B) one's analytical ability means to succeed
'to succeed' modifying the verb means (affinitive) and not parallel to one's ability. Eliminate.

(C) one's analytical ability means their success
Subject one is singular. Using pronoun their is incorrect as it is referring to plural subject. Eliminate

(D) their analytical ability means success
Subject one is singular. Using pronoun their is incorrect as it is referring to plural subject. Eliminate

(E) one's analytical ability means one's success
This correctly maintains the parallel between one's ability & one's success and agrees with the subject one.
Hence E is the best answer choice.
