'more than' is required. Eliminate A and B.

(C) than that can be sung - Incorrect. Comparison is between songs. 'those' is required

(D) than those that can be sung - Correct

(E) than those singing - Incorrect. Awkward. Songs cannot sing.

Answer: D

more than is correct not more compared to, so A and B are out
(A)Incorrect compared to those that can be sung
incorrect for the reason stated above
(B) Incorrect compared to those it can sing
Incorrect for the reason stated above
(C) Incorrect than that can be sung
Here that is referring to chorus not songs. we want to refer songs.
(D) Correctthan those that can be sung
Those is clerly referring to songs and that makes the comparison logical
(E) Incorrect than those singing
Singing is modifying songs wrongly
Hence D is correct

(A) compared to those that can be sung
(B) compared to those it can sing
(C) than that can be sung
(D) than those that can be sung
(E) than those singing

MANHATTAN REVIEW OFFICIAL EXPLANATION:

This is a comparison. When you use ‘more’ you must use ‘than’. Eliminate A and B. You must compare like with like, songs with songs. Songs is a plural word. ‘That’ in C is singular. Eliminate C. E does not compare songs with songs. It either compares songs with people or implies that the songs are singing. D is the correct answer.
