This answer choice is stylistically flawed. Look at the following clause:
- it was fundamental to implement and apply it
The first it serves as a subject replacement, and the second it serves as a pronoun, referring to coaching. While this is not grammatically incorrect, it is is confusing and creates ambiguity.
What helps us identify this question as a Pronoun question as well as identify the mistake is the following Stop Sign:
- Every pronoun in the underlined part of the sentence or after it
In addition, the phrase implement and apply is wordy and redundant. In the present context, both words mean roughly the same thing.

Incorrect.
Although it corrects both original mistakes, this answer choice is grammatically incorrect. The phrase not only the company and their subordinates is idiomatically incorrect. Not only should be followed by but also; the original version, both the company and their subordinates, is idiomatically correct.
