Hi mohitgupta1994,
Preparing for the GMAT in 2015 so that you get it taken care of in advance is a smart idea; by dealing with just the GMAT now, you'll save yourself some effort later on when you're focusing on your applications. Since your GMAT score is good for 5 years, you just have to apply to Business School before your score expires (and Business Schools don't care how old the Score is as long as it's an Official Score from the previous 5 years).
If you can tell me a bit more about your goals/plans, then I'll be happy to advise:
1) What is your goal score?
2) What schools are you planning to apply to?
Studying for the GMAT is similar to having a part-time job. Most Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) on their studies; during that time, it's common to spend 10-15 hours per week (or more) on the process. There are a variety of different resources that you can use, but I can recommend some that you MUST have:
1) The GMAC
Official Guide (either the 13th edition or the GMAT2015 - they're the same book)
2) The free downloadable materials from
www.mba.comThe download includes 2 practice CAT Tests. You should plan to take one early on (take the whole thing, so you can test your endurance and overall pacing) so that we can get a sense of your strengths and weaknesses. It will take about 4 hours, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to do so. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can put together a study plan.
GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
