Speed = 1.6 steps/sec

Time given = 72 sec

So, Distance Covered = Speed * Time

Or, Distance Covered is $$72*1.6 = 115.2$$ steps, Answer must be (E)

10 seconds => 16 steps
2 seconds =>3.2 steps
72 seconds => 115.2 steps => 115 complete steps

We can set up a proportion:

16/10 = n/72

8/5 = n/72

8 x 72 = 5n

576 = 5n

115.2 = n

So 115 complete steps were taken.
