To resolve my issues with verbal, I started reading articles from The Economist and Reuters, newsletters from Wharton and McKinsey and scholarly papers (for my full-time job). The strategy includes breaking down each sentence, observing how they relate to each other and finding conclusions.

Working on a reading method that promotes absorption could be helpful. Becoming familiar with how inference questions work could also be helpful. Perhaps include working with a study buddy who is really strong on Verbal (or DI). You could offer to help with Quant in exchange.

It seems your Quant was really high already.
It seems your DI and V would need the most help to boost your score.

Did you notice differences in Quant?

Did you make many mistakes in Q When you got Q86?

I have been preparing for the GMAT since July 2024 (second attempt, the previous score was 595 Q86 V81 D 71).

I've enrolled with TTP to strengthen my fundamentals and have been attempting questions from there and GMATclub forums. I know that my verbal and DI are weak compared to quant (Indian, engineer), but I can't seem to cross 645 in practice tests for some reason.

The previous test I took was practice test 2 where I scored 645 but I feel like I should discount the score mostly because I've taken that test numerous times (repeated questions).

To resolve my issues with verbal, I started reading articles from The Economist and Reuters, newsletters from Wharton and McKinsey and scholarly papers (for my full-time job). The strategy includes breaking down each sentence, observing how they relate to each other and finding conclusions.

For DI, my weakness was going through the graph too quickly (observation from Error Logs) but I haven't made any improvement in this Practice Test.

My order for this test is Verbal->DI->Quant. Replicated test conditions. Q80 V81 DI 78.

My first attempt followed the order Quant -> DI ->Verbal (this made the verbal section too hard for me).

Any advice/suggestions are welcome.

Hey!

I made two mistakes in quant in the test. My quant performance hasn't changed much, probably because the fundamentals were already pretty strong.

I tried analyzing my verbal approach; understanding the passage and finding conclusions isn't an issue but I somehow fall for the trap answer (overthink the choices, still finding ways to avoid this).

Whereas with DI, if I slow down a bit my accuracy improves. I'm not sure why this is especially since my Speed vs Accuracy is decent for quant (doesn't apply if the questions are too easy or too hard though).
